Congratulations to San Francisco Lodge President for his appointment to the Chinese Hospital Board of Directors representing Chinese American Citizens Alliance
Dear sisters and brothers of the Alliance,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank George Lai, our President for his service the last two years. With his leadership as well as Vice President Joanna Tom, San Francisco Lodge continue to prosper even with the difficult time of the pandemic. I am honored to follow their footsteps to serve this distinguish organization. The Chinese American Citizens Alliance was founded to promote and protect the rights of Chinese American. Last year, we had the opportunity to participate in the National, State and Local elections. We elected the President, Senators, Assemblymen, Governors, Mayors and other government officials to represent us. However, we are seeing new challenges facing us. During the campaign, rumors and political rhetoric, indicate that the birth rights and the 14 th amendment are being challenged. We shall watch the development as it evolve. With your help, we will work with National as well as local lodges to ensure that the Chinese American’s rights will not be affected or diminished.
In a few weeks, we will welcome the Year of the Snake, I would like to wish everyone, a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
Respectfully,
Sherman Tang
President
